There’s a traditional Chinese practice called acupuncture. In acupuncture, tiny needles are delicately pinned on the pressure points of the body. It is considered to be an effective way to release stress and anxiety. The idea of acupuncture is that the body can be tempered by releasing pressure manually.

Pushing one’s pressure points helps in improving blood flow and moderating the supply of oxygen to the brain, which helps in decreasing stress.

Prayer and Meditation

Meditation is focusing one’s mind on achieving peace and calmness at a particular time. It helps in prioritizing one’s thoughts and anxieties in order and helps in controlling the ideas.

Yoga is a physical and spiritual practice that stretches the body, mind, and soul to achieve tranquility.

Fish oil contains Omega 3 fatty acids; they help in curing moderate or mild depression. People in depression have a decreased blood sugar level, but eating fish can assist in recovering the levels. Doctors prescribe fish oil supplements to depression patients sometimes.

Therapy

It is equally important to visit a therapist for a detailed check-up. Go for a psychologist if the feelings of depression last longer and overshadow your personality and thoughts.

Write down whatever you feel – Catharsis

Writing your feelings sometimes becomes very therapeutic. Many people fighting with depression find catharsis in this habit. That’s why, if you are trying to defeat your depression make a notebook in which you can write your feelings and emotions.

Give yourself challenging tasks

Meanwhile, in order to keep yourself busy and engaged, you can assign small tasks to yourself and set goals on a daily or weekly basis. You can also make a list of tasks that you think you should go for.
