Assistant Superintendent of Police Suhai Aziz Talpur who led the Karachi Chinese Consulate operation from the front has been recommended for Quaid-e-Azam Medal. She is a first-ever member of women force been recommended for that award. She’s chartered accountant by profession but pursued her carrier as a civil service officer and joined the Police force after clearing the CSS examination in 2013.
ASP Suhai Aziz Talpur was the first official to reach the spot. Inspector General of Sindh Police Dr. Kaleem Imran has recommended her name for Quaid-e-Azam Medal on account of her bravery. She accorded the success of consulate operation to the jawans (policemen) who lost their lives during Friday’s operation. Suhai Aziz is also the first woman from lower Sindh to join the police force.
She’s the daughter of Mr. Talpur who was excommunicated from the family after he decided to send her daughter to school. He is a political activist and a writer of Hyderabadi origin and today he’s proud of her daughter. The name of ASP Suhai flashed almost every news channel across the country as she became the first respondent in the Karachi consulate terror attack.
