Atal Bihari Vajpayee – The Times Premier of India:
Atal Bihari Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924. He is one of the great leader of India. He joined RSS in 1939 and became a proper worker of RSS by 1947.
Minister for external affairs:
He became minister for external affairs in 1977. He’s one of the first leaders to have been arrested during Emergency rule in India.
Formation of BJP:
After his success in India, he formed Bharatiya Janta Party in 1980 and became its first president.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee – Premier of India:
He became the Prime Minister of India for three times in the year 1996, 1998 and in 1999 respectively. His third tenure was full time duration of government.
Ordered to test nuclear weapons:
In 1998, he ordered nuclear weapons tests that shrouded fears but he later launched a peace process with Pakistan.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee died on August 16, 2018. He was the only Prime Minister of India who traveled to Pakistan by bus in the year 1999. He passed away at the age of 93.
Four Himalaya Peaks Named After Vajpayee:
Four Himalaya Peaks have been named after former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The peaks are located near right flank of Gangotri glacier. The four of the peaks have named as Atal – 1, Atal – 2, Atal – 3 and Atal – 4. The peaks are located at the height of 6,557m, 6,566m, 6,160m and 6,100m respectively.
